Why Choose Design Time?

Which? Trusted Trader — independently verified

Design Time is a Which? Trusted Trader, meaning we’ve passed independent vetting on our customer service, trading standards, and installation quality. It’s a standard most kitchen showrooms in Nottingham don’t hold.

Nottingham’s most reviewed kitchen and bathroom studio

We’re one of the most reviewed kitchen and bathroom suppliers in Nottingham — and the reviews are from real customers, not a curated portfolio. You can read them before you visit. That kind of track record takes years to build, and we think it says more about a showroom than the size of its displays.

Bespoke cabinetry, built to your space — not a standard grid

Design Time works with premium British and European cabinet manufacturers including Burbidge, whose rigid cabinetry is built to last and specified to your exact room dimensions. Whether your kitchen is an awkward L-shape, a galley with non-standard wall heights, or a large open-plan space, every unit is planned around your room — not the other way around.

Detailed CAD kitchen design, planned around your home

We use computer-aided design (CAD) to plan your kitchen layout and help you visualise how the finished space will look before installation begins. From cabinet positioning and worktop dimensions to appliance placement and storage, every detail is carefully considered to make the most of your available space. Our kitchen design process helps you explore different layouts, refine the details, and make informed decisions before work starts — giving you greater confidence that the finished kitchen will look and function as intended.

German engineering, British craftsmanship — we source both

We work with a range of cabinet suppliers to match the right product to each project. If precision-engineered handleless cabinetry or specific European ranges are important to you, we’ll specify accordingly. Our design-led approach means the product follows the brief, not the other way around.

Full project management, including structural work

Design Time handles complete kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom projects from first design consultation through to final installation. Our project management covers all associated trades — including structural alterations, plastering, tiling, plumbing, and electrics — so you have a single point of contact throughout. We regularly work on open-plan conversions, kitchen extensions, and full room reconfiguration.

One of West Bridgford’s longest-established independent studios

Our showroom on Mabel Grove has been helping Nottinghamshire homeowners design kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms for years. Unlike large regional chains, you’ll work directly with our designers from first visit to final snag — no handoffs, no hard sell, just honest advice and a finished space you’ll actually love. We cover kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms under one roof, making us a genuine turnkey option for whole-home interior projects.
